Re: Extension of 3/22/2021 OPRA Request
Dear Citizen NJ:
Kean University received your Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request on
March 22, 2021.
Your request sought access to the following government records:
… current agreements between Kean University Libraries and EbscoHost,
Proquest, Bloomberg, Westlaw and Ovid.
Please be advised an extension of time is required as University
operations have been impacted by COVID-19 guidelines and protocols. An
extension of time is also required to conduct a review of documents for
responsiveness and redactions. As such, your request will be extended
until April 14, 2021. OPRA allows custodians to seek extensions of time
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5i. Specifically, OPRA states that “the
requestor shall be advised by the custodian when the record can be made
available. If the record is not made available by that time, access shall
be deemed denied.”
