Request for Bodycam footage(FOIA)

Under the authority granted by the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.), I am formally requesting the release of the below-mentioned body-worn camera and dashcam footage pertaining to the specific incident outlined below:

1. Sgt Klein #65 = bodycam + dashcam (patrol unit #305)
2. PO Foschini, Nicolas #87 = bodycam + dashcam (patrol unit 311)
3. Ofc Sweeney, Ryan #79 = bodycam + dashcam (patrol unit #307)
This request encompasses unedited footage from the above-mentioned officer's body-worn cameras and patrol vehicle dashcams involved in the referenced incident.
In compliance with the New Jersey OPRA, I expect a response to this request within seven business days as stipulated by state law. Failure to meet this deadline will result in my seeking judicial relief to enforce compliance under the statute.

The Franklin Lakes Police Department received your Open Public Records Act
(OPRA) request on 2/21/2025. As the official Police Records Custodian, I
received your OPRA request on 2/24/2025. As such, the seven (7) business
day deadline to respond to your request is 3/4/2025. This response to your
request is being provided to you on the 1^st business day after the
custodian’s receipt of said request.
The letter attached will identify the records that are being denied in
whole or in part as well as the legal basis for each denial, as is
required by N.J.S.A. 47:1A-6.
These records are being transmitted to you via email, as per your

Please note, if you have any discrepancies with the report, the officer
who took the report needs to be contacted. Please dial the main number

This fulfills and closes your OPRA request.

right to challenge the decision by the Franklin Lakes Police Department to

Superior Court of New Jersey or file a complaint with the Government
