Request for Bodycam footage(FOIA)
Dear Essex County,
Under the authority granted by the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.), I am formally requesting the release of the below-mentioned body-worn camera and dashcam footage pertaining to the specific incident outlined below:

Officer Name & Badge Number:
1. Ofc R.Brewster BWC #020470 = bodycam
2. unit #696 = dashcam
3. Marked vehicle #925 = dashcam
This request encompasses unedited footage from the above-mentioned officer's body-worn cameras and patrol vehicle dashcams involved in the referenced incident.
In compliance with the New Jersey OPRA, I expect a response to this request within seven business days as stipulated by state law. Failure to meet this deadline will result in my seeking judicial relief to enforce compliance under the statute.

In regard to your OPRA request 13922, the Sheriff’s Office indicates they
do not have any responsive records. This request is now considered
closed.
“A check of our BWC/Dash cam system returned no footage. Due to the date
of incident, 6/13/2023, the retention time period may have been satisfied
and the automated mandatory deletion of BWC/Dash footage occurred.
