Dear Jackson Township,

While Jackson Township recently launched its own online OPRA portal as of March 16, 2026, to "improve transparency," they explicitly stated that other methods for submitting requests remain available.

A clerk can only deny a request if it is not on the "official form" or a functional equivalent that invokes OPRA. Since OPRAmachine uses a format designed to meet these legal requirements, it is generally accepted by the GRC.

In addition, please refer to the GRC Guidelines recognizing internet-based filing systems as valid.

If this request continues to be refused I will file a "Denial of Access" with the Government Records Council".
