Rental Certificates of Occupancy & Daily Bank, 2023-Present
Dear Brick Township,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
1. Rental Certificates of Occupancy from January 1, 2023-Present. Please provide the document titled "Inspections Log", which includes both the Owner and Applicant information.
2. From Division of Inspections/Code Enforcement, please provide the document titled "Daily Bank" for payments made between January 1, 2023-Present.
Yours sincerely,
Resident
In response to your below OPRA Request:
1. Attached are the two different Daily Bank Logs.
2. The Code Enforcement Inspection log is over 700 pages and would need to be redacted manually to remove all of the phone numbers on each page. This will substantially disrupt the operations of this office due to the time it will take to review the logs and redact. We could calculate how much a Special Service Charge would be for such a process if you would like. Being that it is based on the salary of the lowest paid employee in my department ($28/hr) x the amount of hours it will take to review and redact (approximately 2-3 hours), the cost would be approximately between $56.00 - $84.00 which would have to be paid in advance. This is a quick approximate I can get a more definitive price if you are interested in still obtaining the records.
Please advise.
Sincerely,
Jessica L. Larney, RMC/CMR

Dear Ms. Larney,
The Code Enforcement Logs had always been sent through 2023, with no phone numbers redacted. I guess that is a new policy change in your office for 2024? If so, then I will withdraw that portion of the request.
Yours sincerely,
Resident
