Records request - July data

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Ocean County Board of Elections should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Ocean County Board of Elections,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested:

Copies of the monthly Death Notice List (record series # 0030-0000) for July 2022 for Brick Township.

Thank you,

Resident

Dear Ocean County Board of Elections,

Checking for an update on my two OPRA requests for July 2022 death notice lists. Not sure if my emails were never received or if the records are just not ready to send yet. Please send an update at your earliest convenience.

Copies of the monthly Death Notice List (record series # 0030-0000) for July 2022 for Brick Township.

OPRA Request # 2:
Copies of the monthly Death Notice Lists (record series # 0030-0000) for July 2022 for the following: Berkeley, Jackson, Lacey, Manchester, Point Beach and Point Boro.

Thank you,

Resident

Dear Ocean County Board of Elections,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Open Public Records Act reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Ocean County Board of Elections's handling of my OPRA request 'Records request - July data'.

I asked for an update on September 18 about these two OPRA requests submitted the first week of August, but never received a reply. Per NJ's OPRA law: "Custodians must notify the requestor in writing, within the statutorily mandated seven (7) business days and provide an anticipated deadline date upon which the records will be provided." Not only is this a courtesy, but it is required by law, so please respond and let me know the anticipated deadline date that I will receive these records which were requested over 2 months ago:

OPRA Request # 1: (submitted August 4)
Copies of the monthly Death Notice List (record series # 0030-0000) for July 2022 for Brick Township.

OPRA Request # 2: (submitted August 5)
Copies of the monthly Death Notice Lists (record series # 0030-0000) for July 2022 for the following: Berkeley, Jackson, Lacey, Manchester, Point Beach and Point Boro.

A full history of my OPRA request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://opramachine.com/request/records_...

Thank you,

Resident

Dear Mr. Enright,

The July list that you sent for Brick, which is 4 pages, is missing page 2. My guess is that it was missed in scanning (either by Brick itself, or when your office sent me the documents today). Could you please send me page 2 for Brick, which lists all of the deaths for July 10-July 19. That page was not sent in your response today. Thank you for sending the other townships.

Yours sincerely,

Resident
