I am requesting all records related to the lien that was placed on my property at 55 Randolph Place, Apt 304, Orange, NJ 07050.

Specifically, I am requesting:

All notices of lien issued, including the dates sent and the mailing addresses used.

Proof of mailing or postage receipts for the lien notices.

Any records showing compliance with the statutory notice requirements under New Jersey law regarding property tax lien sales.

The lien certificate, if issued, and documentation showing the process used to place the lien on my property.

Reason for Request:
It has been acknowledged by members of the Tax Assessor’s Office (including Ms. Hassan and Jashlyn) that notices and billing statements were mailed to the wrong address due to a clerical error. Because of this mistake, I did not receive proper notice of the lien prior to its execution. While I fully accept responsibility for paying my property taxes, I should not be held responsible for penalties, interest, or other consequences that resulted from the Township’s error. I need these records to determine whether the Tax Assessor’s Office followed the legally required steps before placing the lien on my property.
