Records on Town Administrator
Dear Voorhees Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States. I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose. I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
Copies of expense reports, requests for reimbursement, and expenses submitted or incurred by employee Stephen Steglik for the period of January 1, 2022 through the present.
Copy of the policy on use of municipal vehicles as take home vehicles.
Copies of mileage records of all vehicles assigned to and/or used by employee Stephen Steglik for the period of January 1, 2022 through the present.
Copies of position, salary, payroll record, length of service of, and the amount and type of any pension received by, employee Stephen Steglik for the period of January 1, 2022 through the present, pursuant to NJSA 47:1A-10.
Copies of public advertisement notices from 2018 to the present for the open position of township Administrator.
Copies of correspondences either sent by or received by employee Stephen Steglik for the time period of January 1, 2022 through the present containing any of the following search terms: “favor”, “personal”, “private”, “secret”, “free”, “complimentary” or “gift”.
Copies of correspondences either sent by or received by employee Stephen Steglik for the time period of January 1, 2022 through the present containing any of the following search terms: “game”, “football”, “baseball”, “basketball”, “hockey”, “box”, “club”, “lounge”, “parking pass”, or “ticket”.
Copies of correspondences either sent by or received by employee Stephen Steglik for the time period of January 1, 2022 through the present containing any of the following search term: “election”, “donor”, “contribution”, “contributor”, "donate", “donation”, “Mount Laurel”, “Mt. Laurel”, "ML", “Democrat”, “Democratic”, “Republican”, or “Super PAC”.
Because of the January 17, 2025 NJ Appellate Division case of Rosetti versus Ramapo-Indian Hills Regional High School Board of Education, A-1466-23, the records searched should include private devices and accounts, including but not limited to e-mail, SMS, RCS, iMessage, and text messages.

The responses here only apply to Mr. Steglik's personal devices and not his work emails. As stated previously, a search of those keywords resulted in over 10,000 emails and will require a special service charge for review and potential redaction, which you were notified of yesterday via a letter I emailed to you.
