Dear Monica Orlando,
Thank you for confirming that Milltown is unable to satisfy a legal request within the timeframe required by law. This will be forwarded to the relevant authority.
Yours sincerely,
Marc Jellinek
Your request requires additional time beyond the seven (7) business days
to fulfill because there is a technical issue with the software and the
earliest appointment provided by our technician is December 8th. OPRA
allows custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A.
47:1A-5.i. Specifically, OPRA states that, “the requestor shall be
advised by the custodian when the record can be made available. If the
record is not made available by that time, access shall be deemed denied.”
Kind regards,
Monica Orlando RMC/CMR

Mr. Jellinek:
Our technician came out to evaluate the system and to assist with making
the necessary redactions to comply with your request. The Technician
stated that he does not currently have a way to redact phone calls from
the audio recording system. Moreover, he also stated that he does not know
how to redact audio and or video from the Liberty Interview Recorder,
which is the internal department video system. He stated that he will
contact the third-party vendor, based in Germany. It might take a few
weeks to receive answer. We will continue to work on this, and I will
keep you advised of the progress. At this time, we will require an
extension until January 3, 2024.
Kind regards,
