Reason for delayed request?

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Upper Freehold Township should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Upper Freehold Township,

I would like to know when I can expect to receive a response to my previous OPRA request regarding construction permits. I notice it has been marked as “delayed”. I understand my request may be more time consuming to fulfill than most, but the law states I should have received a response or explanation by February 9th.

Under current (post-covid) GRC guidelines, delays past seven days may be permitted if the township makes a reasonable effort to fulfill the request. Part of this reasonable effort includes articulating the reason for the delay and giving a date in which the request will be fulfilled.
