Dear Union City,

Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Records requested:

All records requested are related to the motor vehicle stop that occurred on June 10, 2025 at the intersection of Kennedy Boulevard and 24th Street involving Detective Timothy T. Middlebrooks of the Union City Police Department and Captain Jorge Raposo of the North Bergen Police Department.

1. Radio transmissions

2. Phone calls made by Union City Police Officers on scene to Headquarters, other officers, and/or communication officers, including but not limited to Chief Anthony Fachini or any Command Level Officers regarding this particular motor vehicle stop.

3. Any emails generated both internally and to outside agencies regarding this particular stop.

4. Any communications made by the Internal Affairs Division including but not limited to Chief Anthony Fachini or any other Command Level Personnel.

5. Any text messages by officers on scene and Headquarters made during the stop discussing the incident.

6. Any conversations by any media (phone, text, email, etc.) between the Union City Police Department and the North Bergen Police Department

7. Any conversations by any media (phone, text, email, etc.) between the Union City Police Department and the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office

8. Any reports generated as a result of this incident
