Please see the response from the Construction Department regarding your
request.

CONSTRUCTION DEPT. RESPONSE:

Please be advised that a search of our Construction Dept. files reveals no
open permits, no Substantial Damage letter nor any Zoning
requests/determinations being made for this property.

 

 Before any sale or transfer of property, a Zoning application needs to be
filed for a determination about any structures and the flood zone/height
of said structures.

 

The normal process for this determination is accomplished by submitting a
Zoning form, Elevation Certificate and a check for $100.00 made out to the
Borough of Union Beach.

 

This submission will be reviewed by our FloodPlain Mgr./Zoning Official
(same individual) who will respond in writing as to whether any structures
on the property need to be elevated or not. If elevation is required you
will be told to what height the structure will be required to be at.

 

 Typically, the Elevation Certificate can be gotten from the seller for
your use. If this is not the case, then it is up to you or the seller to
get a surveyor to go and shoot the property and develop the Elevation
Certificate for the submission.

 

I have attached a Zoning application for your convenience.
