Purchase order history for the police department from 2020 - 2023

We're waiting for Eric Kim to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Bloomfield Township,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested:

Please provide all purchase order history for purchases by the police department from January 2020 to September 2023. For each order, please include the date, description, vendor, and amount of the purchase.

Excel form (e.g., csv, xlsx) is preferred, but other electronic forms (e.g., pdf) are fine if that is not feasible.

The Township of Bloomfield received your Open Public Records Act (OPRA)
Request on August 31, 2023  This response to your request is being
provided to you on the 4^th business day after the Township’s receipt of
said request.

Your response is due on September 12, 2023. However  your request requires
additional time to fulfill.  The Department needs additional time to
compile the information.  Also please clarify #3 on your OPRA Request “All
invoices of body cameras purchases”,  Please specify what time period you
are requesting. 

OPRA allows custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A.
47:1A-5.i.  Specifically, OPRA states that, “the requestor shall be
advised by the custodian when the records can be made available.  If the
record is not made available by that time, access shall be deemed denied.”

Your request requires an extension of time until on or before September
21, 2023.

If your request for access to a government record has been denied or
unfulfilled within the seven (7) business days required by law, you have a
right to challenge the decision by the Township of Bloomfield to deny
access.  At your option, you may either institute a proceeding in the
Superior Court of New Jersey, or file a complaint with the Government
Records Council (GRC) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form.
