I am in receipt of your request for access to public records through the Open Public Records Act (OPRA) which I received in my office on August 31, 2023 via email asking for “Purchase order history by the Police Department from January 2020 to September 2023"
At this time:
1) the Township will need additional time to complete your request and respectfully ask for 30 days to respond.
2) I must notify you that there will be a special service charge as to comply with your request it will involve an extraordinary expenditure of time and effort for redaction of investigation/security information out of the reports by our Police Department.

special service charge below is an explanation:
After a thorough review of the request, I have determined that fulfilling
it will require significant time and effort due to its complexity and the
sensitive nature of the information involved. The OPRA request in question
presents a complex and time-sensitive challenge. In order to fulfill this
request, we must address the following key points:
Financial Transaction: The requester must be invoiced for a total of
$546.00. This amount is in line with OPRA regulations and must be
collected to cover the expenses related to this request.
Document Volume: We are dealing with an extensive collection of over 2,500
forms that require scrutiny. Our primary concern is to identify and
safeguard any sensitive information, particularly relating to body armor
ratings, safety equipment ratings, and similar data.
Designated Reviewer: Sgt. Young will be appointed to oversee this task.

personnel qualified to handle this review. It is imperative that each
