As such, the seven (7) business day deadline to respond to your request is August 14, 2024. The Police Department is responding to your request within seven (7) business days after receipt of your request as required by New Jersey law N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.

On July 1 2024 Lakita T. Gibson, 55, of Manchester, was arrested by Patrolman Chris Roeck at Glen Wall Heights Apartments on 18th Avenue. Shanae J. Knight, 36, of Belmar, was also arrested by Patrolman John Kelly. Please provide the respective BWC footage of the incident.
In compliance with your request, the Police Department conducted a preliminary search for responsive records. Due to a lack of available staff, your request is taking longer than anticipated. The potentially responsive records require our thorough review and redaction to ensure that any confidential, privileged, or otherwise exempt information is not inadvertently disclosed. The Police Department is requesting an extension of time, in accordance with New Jersey law. See Scheeler v. New Jersey Department of Educ., GRC Complaint No. 2014-123 (Feb. 2016). An extension of fifteen (15) business days will be required through the end of business on September 5, 2024. Thank you for your professional courtesies and attention to this matter.
