Dear Ocean City,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:

Jeffrey Surgent killed his mother, Alexandria Surgent, on December 8, 2023. He called 911 around 4 p.m., stating that he was bipolar and had just killed his mother. Police arrived at the senior housing complex at 308 Sixth Street, Ocean City, New Jersey, and found Surgent nude in the hallway on top of his mother's decapitated body. He was arrested by the Ocean City Police Department. Please provide body cam video footage of the arresting officer.
