Dear Ms. Hampton:

The Camden City School District (“District”) is in receipt of a request for records pursuant to the Open Public Records Act (“OPRA”), N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1, et seq., received by the District via email on April 25, 2023. Specifically, you requested: “a copy of each proposal (and evaluation if applicable) submitted to Camden City School District's CBOE 21-20 for a Fixed Asset Inventory & Valuation Services. Including a copy of the proposal and evaluation of the awarded contract."

Attached, please find the submitted proposals. Some pages of proposals have been redacted where identified by the entity as confidential. To the extent you are requesting evaluation and/or scoring sheets, please be advised that the same are exempt from OPRA’s definition of a government record. See N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1.1 (“The terms shall not include inter-agency or intra-agency advisory, consultative, or deliberative material.”); see also Taylor v. NJ Dep’t of Treasury, GRC Complaint No. 2016-62 (Aug. 28, 2018).

If you have any questions regarding this response, you may contact me at the email address or phone number below. Should you disagree with this response, you have the right to appeal. OPRA permits a person who believes he or she has been illegally denied access to a public record to file a complaint with the GRC, or file suit in Superior Court to challenge the decision and compel disclosure. For more information, you may contact GRC by phone at 1-866-850-0511, by e-mail at [email address], or visit the GRC web site at https://nj.gov/grc/.

Very truly yours,
