Dear Bloomfield Township,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
1. A list of all residential vacant land, single family, and multi family properties that are delinquent on their taxes, behind 1-3 years from today. Please include balance owed, address, and owner name.
2. A list of all residential single family, and multi family properties with code violations on them for the last 3 months from today. Address, and owner name provided please.
3. A list of all residential single family and multi family properties that are delinquent on their utilities. Address, owner name, and balance owed provided please.
4. A list of all residential single family and multi family properties that are flagged abandoned.
g. A list of all residential single family and multi family properties that are fire damaged in the past month.

The Township of Bloomfield received your Open Public Records Act (OPRA)
Request on February 25, 2021. As such, the seven (7) business day
deadline to respond to your request is March 8, 2021 response to your
request is being provided to you on the 7^th business day after we
received this request.
The following records are being provided in their entirety and are the
ONLY documents in the Township’s possession responsive to your request:
1. From the Township’s Building Department: Properties with building
code violations (2 pages)
2. From the Township’s Health Department: Properties with property
maintenance code violations (4 pages)
3. From the Township’s Tax Departments: Properties with
delinquencies (27 pages)
4. From the Township’s Fire Department: Properties flagged abandoned
(1 page)
5. From the Township’s Fire Department: There have been no
residential single family or multifamily properties that have been fire
damaged in the past month
These records are being transmitted to you via email, as per your request.
*Personal information has been redacted in accordance with the Open Public
Records Act statute N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1.1 which prohibits the release of
personal information.
If your request for access to a government record has been denied or
unfulfilled within the seven (7) business days required by law, you have a
right to challenge the decision by the Township of Bloomfield to deny
access. At your option, you may either institute a proceeding in the
Superior Court of New Jersey, or file a complaint with the Government
Records Council (GRC) by completing the Denial of Access Complaint Form.
