Property Addresses with Specific Criteria

The request was refused by East Orange City.

Dear East Orange City,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:

All property addresses that have any of the following "New Jersey State Land Use Codes":

1 - Vacant Land
2 - Residential (1-4 Units)
4A - Commercial
4B - Industrial
4C - Apartment Buildings (5 or more Units)

Please include the following information with each property address:

- Zoning District
- # of Units (if multi family, mixed use, or has multiple commercial/industrial tenants)

An example would look like this:

Address, Use Code, Zoning, Units
123 Main St, 2, R-3, 3

Please return your findings in an excel spreadsheet.

Dear Justin,

My request is not broad at all. I've made the same request, using the same language, to the cities of Newark, Jersey City, and Roselle Park. All three of those requests have been fulfilled. There are no documents or dated information being requested. I am simply asking for a list of properties that meet the below referenced criteria:

They have a "NJ State land use code" of either 1,2, 4A, 4B, 4C

and

to return the zoning and number of units each building has in your findings.

Please re-review my request and I'm sure you'll find that it is satisfactory.

Please understand under we do not do research and requested information must be a document/list that is kept on file with the city of East Orange. Any and all is to broad again please see New Jersey Open Public Records Act(N.J.S.A 47:1A-1, et seq.) For the items listed please clarify specific documents and dates or date ranges for requested information.

Also see attached I provided the updated vacant and abandoned property list which is always 1 month behind and the only list the city has on file. I hope this helps you.
