Dear Info Request:

 

In response to your OPRA request, here are the numbers from the Police
Department’s CAD system as of March 8, 2024:

 

Looks like our first call to the facility was on 2/25/2022.  Since then we
have responded to the following:

 

293 total calls for service

 

With respect to the fire/EMS breakdown, our records might not reflect the
actual responses due to the way our system works.  If a caller requests an
EMS response and we make an arrest for a weapon, the call for service
would be labeled as a “weapons offense” and the EMS response would get
“lost” in the basic statistics.

 

With that being said, out of the 293 total calls, we have the following:

 

142 calls for EMS/ambulance (see note above)

22 alarm responses (this includes fire alarms and burglar alarms)

 

We had no specific “fire calls” in which a report was taken for an actual
fire.
