Our office is in receipt of you request which was received by the Township
and forwarded to our office on August 7, 2023.  As such, the seven
business days to respond is August 16, 2023.

You have requested the following from the police department:

                Any police reports, dispatch records, documentation or
9-1-1 recordings / transcripts for an

                incident involving the discharge of a weapon with injuries
on July 26, 2023 in Vernon Township. 

The following is the Police Department’s response in regard to your
request:

The records you have requested are exempt from disclosure at this time
since they are part of an ongoing investigation (N.J.S.A. 47:1A-3).  An
investigation is underway, release of said records could jeopardize the
investigation, and the records in the case were not available to the
public before the investigation began.  Therefore, they are not releasable
at this time.

With the receipt of this email, your OPRA request has been deemed complete
by the Police Department on August 10, 2023.
