Dear Maureen,
Please correct me if I've misunderstood. Is this still an active ongoing investigation? According to the officers I spoke with the report was finalized and submitted for approval more than 3 weeks ago. This means they are no longer investigating or interviewing witnesses. It seems like such a straightforward and uncomplicated incident that occurred. The medical documents say it all. I think you missed the legally required deadline for release? Please read the second paragraph of Section 39:4-131. Are there circumstances that make this an exception to the law? Please specify what these are.

Dear Maureen,
There are many blatant lies in the details of the report. There are bodycam recordings to show the truth. Why would multiple employees of the city be so reluctant to take responsibility for their actions? My goal is to address this accident to prevent future tragedies. I am especially concerned for children playing on the beach near the work area.
