Your OPRA request sought access to the following:

The May 4, 2023 accident report concerning Manuel Cruz Juncal Palaguachi,
occurring at or near the intersection of Burnside Street and Valley Road.

The request seeks specific government records that are:

1.        Not releasable / not ready

The Montclair Police Department, Records and Identification Bureau is in
receipt of your request made pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public
Records Act (OPRA).  The statutorily mandated timeframe to respond is
seven (7) business days provided that the record is not archived or in
storge. The computer systems that hold the records you seek have been out
of commission and therefore an additional 30 days is required to fulfill
your request.  Notwithstanding this fact, the Township of Montclair is
making a reasonable effort, as the circumstances permit, to respond to
your OPRA request as soon as practicable.

OPRA allows custodians to seek extensions of time pursuant to N.J.S.A.
47:1A-5.i.  Specifically, OPRA states that, “the requestor shall be
advised by the custodian when the record can be made available. If the
record is not made available by that time, access shall be deemed denied.”

This response is transmitted to you via email, as per your request.
