Police records regarding Aggravated Assault NJ DOG BARBER 7/30/23
Dear South Amboy City,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
At the location of NJ DOG BARBER, 130 S Broadway and approx date of Jul 30, 2023, a well-known fisherman was filming outside of the business for his fishing show to be broadcast to his audience. The business listed above made contact and ordered him to leave the sidewalk he was standing on and ultimately called SAPD. The officer arrived, Badge #64, informed the caller that the fisherman was not breaking any laws. As #64 was leaving, the caller picked up a weedwhacker, turned it on, and swung it at the fisherman. It is plainly visible that #64 witnessed this incident, as he made direct eye contact in view of the camera. Despite this, #64 declined to make any further contact with the two parties.
Records requested:
BWC footage from #64 in this incident
911 call made by NJ DOG BARBER, if available
Written records created by #64 after this incident
Any internal written communications created by SAPD regarding this incident
Any written communication, or calls, received by the SAPD by NJ DOG BARBER from the dates Jun 1st - December 31st
If the SAPD itself has any record of the volume, not the contents, of both calls and emails received by members of the public, I would like to have that record from the dates Jun 1st - September 30th. I would like the daily volumes in a listed format.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request.
Thank you for your cooperation. I submitted this request through a generator, not a public record request portal that may be available elsewhere. My only means of communication is by email.
Yours faithfully,
