I am writing to submit a public records request pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA), N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq. I am seeking access to the following records related to Police Service calls, phone recordings, body camera footage, and dash camera footage for all police officers that responded to "1 Teal Police," during the period from May 1st, 2023, to July 31st, 2023.

Police Service Calls: I request a copy of all police service call records associated with "1 Teal Police" within the specified timeframe. This includes but is not limited to incident reports, dispatch logs, call notes, and any related documents.

Phone Recordings: I request access to any recorded phone calls involving "1 Teal Police" during the specified timeframe. This includes calls made or received by officers associated with the mentioned police unit.

Body Camera Footage: I request copies of all body camera footage recorded by officers assigned to "1 Teal Police" during the stated period. Please provide all relevant footage that may have been captured during their interactions with the public or any law enforcement activities.

Dash Camera Footage: I request copies of all dash camera footage recorded by "1 Teal Police" vehicles during the specified timeframe. Please provide all relevant footage related to any law enforcement incidents or public interactions.

I understand that certain information may be redacted in accordance with applicable law, such as protecting the identities of victims, witnesses, or individuals not involved in the incident. However, I request that any redactions made to the records be clearly marked and justified under the relevant exemptions.

I am willing to pay reasonable fees associated with the production of these records, but I request that I be provided with an estimate of the total costs before any work is undertaken. If the estimated costs exceed what I am willing to pay, please inform me in advance so that we can discuss how to narrow the scope of the request.

As per the New Jersey Open Public Records Act, I expect a response within seven (7) business days from the date of receipt of this letter. If you cannot fulfill the request within this timeframe, please provide an explanation of the delay and an estimated date of when the records will be made available.
