Dear Stafford Township,

Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Records requested:

I respectfully request access to and copies of public records maintained by Stafford Township and/or the Stafford Township Police Department for the last 24 months, specifically from February 9, 2024 through February 9, 2026 (“the requested period”).

I understand the Stafford Township Police Department uses POSS VCS for overtime and compensatory time submission and approvals. I request the following records:

1) POSS VCS Overtime / Comp Time approvals involving supervisory self-approval or supervisory overtime submissions that were approved by subordinates; excluding any overtime awarded from a known list for road work or list of afterschool activities/sports.

For the requested period, please produce records for any instance (except Roadwork or School Functions) where a "Command Staff" supervisor of Lieutenant, Captain, Deputy Chief or Chief:
a) approved their own overtime or compensatory time request, and/or
b) had their overtime or compensatory time request approved by a subordinate officer or civilian employee or approved an overtime assignment without any written justification (excluding OT Roadwork list or School activities list).

For each responsive instance, please provide electronic copies, screenshots, printouts, exports, or system-generated approval/audit history views from POSS VCS showing:
- the employee who requested the OT/comp with timestamps (name and title)
- the date and time the OT/comp was worked
- the stated reason/justification and case number if applicable for the OT/comp
- the employee who approved it with timestamps if available (name and title)
- the date/time of submission and the date/time of approval with timestamps if available
- any approval path / audit trail metadata (timestamps and approver identity)

My preferred delivery method for response(s) to this request is by E-mail as attachments. Please confirm you have received this request. If you are not the custodian of records, please forward my request to that person and provide their email address to me for future reference.
