Dear East Hanover Township,

Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States. I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

All records related to Richard Serritella, Jr, DOB: 02/10/1980.

Hello Kate,

At this time your OPRA request is denied because it does not identify an
identifiable government record with reasonable clarity. The request seeks
"all" records, which is overly broad and does not reasonably describe
specific government records. OPRA does not require a records custodian to
conduct an open-ended search of agency files or perform research to
determine what records may be responsive.

Because your request seeks "all" records without sufficiently identifying
specific government records, it is invalid under OPRA. You may submit a
revised request that more specifically identifies the records sought by
date range, subject matter, document type, sender/recipient, or other
identifying characteristics so that the records can be located with
reasonable effort.

Additionally, please complete all the required certifications as this
submission is currently incomplete.
