Police Payroll 2025 2024
Dear North Brunswick Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
Pursuant to the Open Public Records Act, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., I request copies of the following records from the Township of North Brunswick Police Department for calendar years 2024 and 2025:
> 1. The **police department payroll register**, in electronic format (CSV, XLSX, or delimited text preferred), containing one row per sworn officer per pay period, with the following fields:
> - Employee identifier (badge number or anonymized ID is acceptable)
> - Rank / title (e.g., Patrol Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Chief, Detective)
> - Pay period start and end dates
> - Regular hours worked
> - Regular pay
> - Overtime hours worked
> - Overtime pay
> - Court-time hours and pay (if tracked separately)
> - Callback hours and pay (if tracked separately)
> - Holiday pay, longevity pay, and any other premium/differential pay (if tracked separately)
> - Extra-duty (off-duty employment) hours and pay, if administered through the Township
>
> 2. The **current collective bargaining agreement(s)** between the Township and PBA Local 160 and SOA Local 160A, including any side letters, memoranda of agreement, or amendments in effect during 2024–2025.
>
> 3. The **2024 and 2025 police department staffing rosters** showing authorized strength by rank and actual filled positions by rank as of January 1 and July 1 of each year.
>
> 4. Any **overtime authorization policy, general order, or standard operating procedure** governing the approval, coding, and recording of overtime, court time, and callback time within the Police Department.

> If any responsive record contains information the Township considers exempt from disclosure, I request that the exempt material be redacted and the remainder released, with a written statement identifying the specific statutory basis for each redaction, as required by N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(g).

> I prefer delivery by email or via the Township's OPRA portal. If fulfillment of this request will exceed the statutory special-service-charge threshold, please notify me in writing with an itemized cost estimate before incurring any charge, per N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5(c).
