Dear Jessica Larney,
Thank you for that information but perhaps I didn't detail my requests. I wanted what you sent me but I also wanted the names of the officers, you can break the time frame down: I'd like the names of the officers involving any police misconduct from May 2012 thru August 2014 Please.

Yours sincerely,

Michelle Scott

Dear Ms. Scott,

I forwarded your inquiry to the Brick Township Police Records Dept. However, this past week, they changed Lieutenants and the Lt. that initially responded to your request is no longer working in that division and the new Lt. is out until Monday. The clerk in that office is trying to reach out to the former Lt. but has not heard back yet.

Therefore, a response might take a few days. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Dear Ms. Scott,

We are still awaiting our attorney to review your clarification below. Lt. Coburn in the Brick Township Police Department emailed him last Tuesday but has still not received a response. He is reaching out again today. I apologized for any inconvenience and will be in touch shortly.

Dear Ms Scott,

We have consulting with our Township Attorney, Kevin Starkey, regarding the release of the names of the officers.

Mr. Starkey stated that due to the court ruling in the case of Paff v. Bergen County, 2017 N.J. Super. Unpub. Lexis 627 (March 13, 2017), names of the officers that were subject to each Internal Affairs investigation and the name of the complainant is not releasable under OPRA.
