Dear Ms. Semus,

Thank you for the update. Before sending OPRA requests, I always check and see if there has been any previous successful contact to the specific township through OPRA Machine in the past. You yourself responded to an OPRA Machine request on December 3, 2019 in regards to another police matter. So, I'm not sure why my request was originally considered spam, but I'm glad that I finally heard back from you. Thank you for letting me know what happened and for why you need an extension.

Yours sincerely,

Resident

Linda Semus,

Resident,
You have me quite puzzled stating that I had received an e-mail from "opramachine" and or "resident" in the past so I came in this morning to do some research... but to no avail. Then I received an e-mail from our police department regarding your request to find that the addresses you are looking for information on is not in Mansfield Township, but most likely Springfield Township. This made me feel better that it may have been same circumstance and my memory isn't slipping. Your e-mails are not the norm and me not recognizing such a "different format for an OPRA request"... I asked my Deputy if she possibly received one and responded on my behalf of which she respondend that she did not recognize such an e-mail and nor had the Police Department recognized such a request from "OPRAmachine" ... "Resident" or otherwise.

When I received your second request, it was then that I decided to send it over to our IT people to give me some guidance and they too had not seen this type of e-mail regarding OPRAs at all, and they handle several different Townships, but they did confirm that they researched its origin and it is a "legitimate e-mail" that I can infact respond to and click links on without fear of being infected by some form of a virus.

I would appreciate it if you could please forward me my December 3, 2019 response to the "opramachine" OPRA so that I can do further research on how I would have filed same on my end and to ensure that in the future, not responding or missing an actual legitimate e-mail such as that, will not happen again.

So any way, with all that being said, you will need to forward your e-mail (OPRA) to Springfield Township as the addresses listed within your OPRA are not within Mansfield Township.

Thank you... stay safe and well,

Dear Ms. Semus,

I didn't state you had received a request from "Resident" at OPRA Machine in the past. I simply stated you had received and responded to a request from the OPRA Machine website in the past. Checking now as you had asked, the request was from a Daniel Thornton on December 2, 2019. You yourself responded to that OPRA Machine request within 24 hours on December 3, 2019. The log of the request and response is available here: https://opramachine.com/request/charges_...

I had only mentioned that previous contact with OPRA Machine to point out the fact that you yourself answered a request via the OPRA Machine website within 24 hours in December 2019, yet with my request, you considered it spam. Hope the link and that explanation helps!

Thank you for your update on which is the correct township to contact about those addresses.

Yours sincerely,

Resident
