Police Department Records
Dear Holmdel Township,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
1. Any and all records of police officer training on HIPAA law.
2. Names of training officers responsible for training in use of force, de-escalation, and appropriate means of public engagement.
3. Any written materials pertaining to the training types cited in number 2.
4. Official township and department policies concerning the use of body-worn cameras.
Date that such cameras initially came into use within the HPD.
5. All correspondence pertaining to the cancellation or non-renewal of the memorandum of agreement between Holmdel PD and Bayshore Community Hospital/Hackensack Meridian Health, which effectively ended the use of officers in the emergency department. By the use of “all correspondence,” I wish to include any email, postal mail, or text messages, between PD and township department heads, as well as between the aforementioned and any representative of BCH/Hackensack Meridian.

Your request requires additional time beyond the seven (7) business days
because the records requested have to be reviewed by the Township Attorney
prior to being produces.
