Police Department Payroll Records
Dear Pompton Lakes Borough,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
1. Total earnings for each full-time police officer for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025 to present date.
2. Compensatory time earned by each full-time police officer for each month for the years 2023, 2024, 2025.
3. Overtime earned by each full-time police officer for each month for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025.
4. Extra Duty Pay earned by each full-time police officer for each month for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025.
5. Shift commander duty pay for each full-time police officer for each month for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025, to include any special pay for officers of all ranks for out of job title adjustments.

Dear Elizabeth Brandsness,
I know what Executive Order #26 says. The second part of that statement you are referencing says, “except as otherwise required by law to be disclosed”. The law is 47:1A-10 “ an individual’s name, title, position, salary, payroll record, length of service, date of separation and the reason therefor, and the amount and type of any pension received shall be a government record”. Are you telling me you are refusing to provide payroll record information?
