The Township of Neptune received an Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request
on  June 10. As such, the seven (7) business day deadline to respond to
your request is June 19.

 

The request was for:

“1. Police CAD Report 24NT06831 with narratives

    Date of Incident: 3-16-2024.

2. I seek all Body-Worn Camera Footage and audio communication recordings
for any police officers-involved for the above incident on 3-16-2024.

3. Please provide all dash camera footage and audio communication for any
police car involved for the above incident on 3-16-2024.

4. Please provide in-car camera footage and audio communication for any
police car involved for the above incident on 3-16-2024.

5. Any and all radio transmissions between police dispatch and any
officers involved for the above incident on 3-16-2024.

6. Any and all cell phone calls/phone calls/text messages between police
dispatch and any officers involved for the above incident on 3-16-2024.

7. A list of all police officers and their badge numbers who were on scene
for the above incident on 3-16-2024.

8. Please provide copies of all traffic summons/tickets issued related to
the above incident that took place on 3-16-2024.

9. A copy of the 911 call(s) and/or call(s) to the police dispatch
regarding the above incident that took place on 3-16-2024.

Please include a Vaughn index with your response. A Vaughn index that
identifies each record requested and the specific legal basis for a denial
of access (including redactions) to each record.”

 a. The Police department has compiled the requested records. Due to
their size, we will need to put the records on a flash drive in order
to produce. Please advise if you would like us to provide a flash
drive and how you would like to be obtained (mail or in person). The
cost of the flash drive would be $3.90 and if you would like it
mailed, please indicate the mailing address so that we can check the
cost of postage. Once confirmed, the flash drive will be made
available.

 3. Please provide all dash camera footage and audio communication for any
police car involved for the above incident on 3-16-2024.

 a. The Township does not have any responsive docuemnts to this request
as the investigation is being handled by Wall Township.

 4. Please provide in-car camera footage and audio communication for any
police car involved for the above incident on 3-16-2024.

 a. The Township does not have any responsive docuemnts to this request
as the investigation is being handled by Wall Township.

 5. Any and all radio transmissions between police dispatch and any
officers involved for the above incident on 3-16-2024.

 a. The Township does not have any responsive records to this request. A
request may be made to the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department to
determine if they have responsive records.

 6. Any and all cell phone calls/phone calls/text messages between police
dispatch and any officers involved for the above incident on
3-16-2024.

 a. The Township does not have any responsive records.

 7. A list of all police officers and their badge numbers who were on
scene for the above incident on 3-16-2024.

 a. This is a request for infomration, not a record. However, the Police
Department wanted to note that this information is included on the
first page of the report provided.

 8. Please provide copies of all traffic summons/tickets issued related to
the above incident that took place on 3-16-2024.

 a. The Township does not have any responsive records to this request.

No Vaughn index is necessary as there has not been a denial of any of the
