Payable and receivables social media policies
Dear Summit City,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
I would like a copy of all social media pages administered by summit city, page roles page, banned profiles page and deleted comments that are active and current as of August 13, 2025
I would like a copy of all council members and mayors email logs from August 1, 2025 through August 13, 2025
I would like a copy of all text messages to or from the mayor and council members concerning the subject “Mike Vintzileos” sp? Or “YouTube” from January 1, 2025 through August 13, 2025
I would like a copy of all payables and receivables for all accounts administered by summit city from January 1; 2025 through August 13, 2025

I am writing in response to your request pursuant to
the Open Public Records Act (“OPRA”). You requested
the following:
1. I would like a copy of all social media pages
administered by summit city, page roles page,
banned profiles page and deleted comments that are
active and current as of August 13, 2025
2. I would like a copy of all council members and
mayors email logs from August 1, 2025 through
August 13, 2025
3. I would like a copy of all text messages to or
from the mayor and council members concerning the

In response to number 1 of your request, specifically
your request for "copy of all social media pages
administered by summit city, page roles page, banned
profiles page and deleted comments that are active and
current as of August 13, 2025", is being forwarded to
the Summit Police Department as the Chief of Police is
the custodian of record for all records within the
possession of the Summit Police Department, therefore
they will be responding to your request separately for
their social media.
At this time, the city is still processing the
remainder of your request.

only look only for comments that users or the city may

and marked as deleted. These files are marked as
"Timeline Posts".
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.b. the cost associated
with this request is $0.00.
You have a right to challenge the decision by the City
of Summit to deny access. At your option, you may
either institute a proceeding in the Superior Court of
New Jersey or file a complaint with the Government
