Dear Mr. Toby,

The money related to real estate foreclosures belongs to the various attorneys that submit documentation to the Sheriff’s office; their clients who may be owed the judgment monies; and to the County of Warren for the statutory fees and commission collected for the enforcement of judgment collections. There are no monies on reserve for any unknown parties or surplus funds undeliverable with the Sheriff’s Office. Hence, there are no records responsive to your request.

If you feel you have been denied information erroneously, you may wish to file a Denial of Access complaint with the NJ Government Records Council (GRC). The GRC can be reached via this toll-free number: 866-850-0511 or by visiting its web site: www.nj.gov/grc.
