Wildwood and North Wildwood, NJ 08260
Requesting the following documents:
Tax Assessment Records: Property description, ownership history (deeds), building description - i.e., age, square footage, heat source, sanitary waste disposal source, etc. Environmental Liens/deed restrictions
Construction/Building Department: permits for the installation/removal of underground storage tanks (USTs), septic systems, potable wells, building/construction permits, renovations, lead based paint abatement, asbestos removal, etc.
Health Department: documents pertaining to release of hazardous materials/petroleum products, well abandonment, septic removal.
Fire Department: communications center response for the release of hazardous materials.
Current tax map including the property

The County of Cape May is in receipt of your request pursuant to New Jersey’s Open Public Records Act, which request is attached as below.
Two things to note: 2601 Boardwalk is listed at 2601 Beach on tax maps; and the County cannot find 3322 Beach on tax maps to get the block and lot for records search. Would you please clarify/confirm these 2 addresses?
Additionally, land records from August 2000 are available online. You need the current or previous property owner to find a lien. Land records are indexed by names.

Please be advised some of the records you are seeking are not maintained by the County but may be available from the municipality, either Wildwood or North Wildwood, and you will need to contact them directly to request the records. (i.e. building/construction permits, tax assessment records).
Please also be advised that your request will require additional time beyond the seven (7) business days to be completed pursuant to N.J.S.A. 47:1A-5.i.
The County will produce any responsive records on or before the date of November 3, 2025.
