To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to clarify the email below. Please be advised the OPRA requests were sent after business hours on November 20, 2017, at 7:05 PM and 7:06 PM EST (original requests attached). Thus, the requests were received the next business day, November 21. The County was closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on November 23 and 24, making the due date December 4, 2017. Upon receipt of my email requesting an extension to compile and review responsive documents, a representative from your organization sent the attached reply, granting the extension.

Dear Opra,
It appears you are mixing up the 2 different OPRA requests that I sent so far. One was for Union County and the second one was for the Union County Sheriff's Department. The granted extension was for the OPRA request that I sent to the Union County Sheriff's Department. An extension was never asked by Union County for the OPRA request that I sent to the agency though. I hope this clears up the confusion.

Please be advised this office processes OPRA requests for Union County Sheriff's Office (UCSO) records. Thus, the extension request was intended for both OPRA requests--the one addressed to the UCSO and the one addressed to Union County in general. I apologize for any confusion. A response will be forthcoming as soon as possible.
