Dear Commercial Township,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
All use of force reports completed by the police department from January 1st 2017 to December 31st, 2019.
Yours faithfully,
Eric K.
I have received this OPRA request. This is my response to OPRA request of Thursday, May 28, 2020, 9:19 A.M>
I, Hannah E. Nichols, am the Municipal Clerk of Commercial Township and Custodian of Records. Commercial Township does not have a police department. We do have policing but it is done by State Troopers (Officers) of the New Jersey State Police.
I have absolutely no records of charges that might have been brought against the Officers of the New Jersey State Police. I am going to forward all four of your OPRA requests that I have received and responded to, to the State.
I will ask them for a response by June 5th. If I get one I'll forward same to you.
Hannah E. Nichols, RMC/CMR
Township Clerk
