Dear Woodbridge Township,

The Open Public Records Act says:

a custodian of a government record shall grant access to a government record or deny a request for access to a government record as soon as possible, but not later than seven business days after receiving the request. N.J.S.A 47:1A-5

The details of exactly how weekends are counted, and what happens if the request arrives out of office hours, is just that - detail. What matters here is that the law says authorities must respond promptly.

If you've got a good reason why the request is going to take a while to process, kindly email me saying what is happening.

Yours faithfully,

Subject: OPRA REQUEST CAT RECORD

Good Afternoon,

As per your request, please see attached.

Both documents contain the requested items, including cats euthanized,
adopted, and brought into the shelter.

It costs $125 to euthanize cats.

To TNR cats, it costs $230, regardless of the sex of the cat

We are unable to determine the cost of holding cats for the required stray
hold. There are various factors to consider, such as food, cleaning items,
salaries of employees that care for the cats, etc.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please advise.

Have a wonderful day.
