OPRA Request — Records Concerning the Scottish Rite Property and the Collingswood Foundation for the Arts, Inc.
Dear Collingswood Borough,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:
1. The lease agreement entered into in or around 2003 between the Borough of Collingswood and the Excelsior Scottish Rite (or affiliated Masonic entity) for the Scottish Rite property, including all amendments, extensions, or assignments.
2. Any management, operating, or services agreement between the Borough and the Collingswood Foundation for the Arts, Inc. (EIN 22-3665137) concerning the Scottish Rite Auditorium, Grand Ballroom, or Mansion, including all amendments, from 2003 to present.
3. All resolutions or ordinances adopted by the Board of Commissioners referencing the Collingswood Foundation for the Arts, Inc., from January 1, 2019 to present.
4. Bond ordinances, loan agreements, guaranty agreements, or official statements evidencing Borough-issued or Borough-guaranteed debt relating to the Scottish Rite property or the Collingswood Foundation for the Arts, Inc., from 2003 to present.
5. Financial statements, audits, budgets, or annual reports submitted by the Collingswood Foundation for the Arts, Inc. to the Borough, from January 1, 2019 to present.
6. Correspondence between the Borough Administrator, Chief Financial Officer, Borough Clerk, or any Commissioner and (a) the Collingswood Foundation for the Arts, Inc. or (b) the Internal Revenue Service, referencing the Foundation’s federal tax-exempt status or its revocation, from January 1, 2024 to present.
