Good Morning:
The Borough of Fair Haven received four (4) OPRA requests as of May 27,
2020 for information pertaining to the following police department
matters:
May 27^th
First Request for information:
1. Total number of body cameras currently deployed in the police
department.
2. Date on which body cameras were deployed to any of the police officers
for the first time (year and month).
3. Invoice of body cameras purchase (if body cameras were purchased).
Second Request for information:
1. Please provide all purchase order history for purchases by the police
department from 2012 to 2019. For each order, please include the date,
description, vendor, and amount of the purchase. Excel form is
preferred, but other electronic forms are fine if that is not
feasible.
May 28^th:
First Request for information:
1. A list of all lawsuits and cases in which any officer of the police
department was involved between 2012 and 2019. For each lawsuit/case,
please provide the date (month and year) of the alleged incident at issue,
whether the alleged incident was excessive force, settlement amount (if
any), and final compensation amount ruled (if any).
2. Please provide copies of the complaint in any lawsuits and cases
described in above.
Second Request for information:
1. For all employees who worked in the police department at any point of
time from 2012-2019:
Please provide the name, hire date, current status (whether active or
separated), and date of separation
Due to adjusted work schedules including working remotely during the
Coronavirus pandemic and the time frame of the information requested, an
extension until June 26^th is required. Thank you.
