OPRA request: police payroll records 2012-2019

We're waiting for Taeho Kim to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Stone Harbor Borough,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested:

For all employees who worked in the police department at any point of time from 2012-2019:
Please provide the name, hire date, current status (whether active or separated), and date of separation.

Yours faithfully,

Necon

Jackson, Maureen,

Necon,

Your request has been received.
Please be advised that due to the COVID-19 Outbreak Borough Facilities are closed to the public and staffing is limited to Essential Employees at this time. Your request may take longer than usual to fulfill, please be patient and your request will be satisfied.
On March 20, 2020, Governor Murphy signed a series of coronavirus-related bills into law. Among them was A3849, which modifies the deadline by which public agencies must respond to an OPRA request during an emergency. Under normal circumstances, a public agency must respond to an OPRA request as soon as possible and no later than seven business days from the date of the request. The amendment provides that:
During a period declared pursuant to the laws of this State as a state of emergency, public health emergency, or state of local disaster emergency, the deadlines by which to respond to a request for, or grant or deny access to, a government record under paragraph (1) of this subsection or subsection e. of this section shall not apply, provided, however, that the custodian of a government record shall make a reasonable effort, as the circumstances permit, to respond to a request for access to a government record within seven business days or as soon as possible thereafter.
Thank your in advance for your anticipated cooperation and patience.
Be well.

Jackson, Maureen,

In response to your OPRA Request below dated 5/28/2020 Police Payroll Records 2012-2019, the police department and the payroll department do not have any such report to provide all employees working in the police department from 2012-2019. The payroll company, CASA, can create the report but there is a charge of $150 that would need to be paid. Please let me know if you wish to order the report for $150.00.

Thank you,
