Re: OPRA Request – Body Worn Camera Footage (Case #26-030044)

Dear Custodian of Records,

Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA), N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., I am respectfully requesting access to and copies of the following government records:

All body worn camera footage and/or audio-video recordings captured by responding officers related to Police Case Number 26-030044, which occurred on March 7, 2026, at approximately 9:00 PM, at the location of 4 Ronald Drive, Colonia, New Jersey.

This request specifically includes, but is not limited to, all responding officers’ body-worn camera recordings from the time of dispatch, arrival, on-scene interaction, investigation, and departure.

I am making this request in my capacity as Adrian Perez Jr., the victim of the reported simple assault connected to the above-referenced incident.

If any portion of the requested records is exempt from disclosure, please provide the non-exempt portions and cite the specific legal basis for each redaction or denial, as required under OPRA.

Please advise me of any fees associated with fulfilling this request prior to processing, and kindly inform me if the records will be provided electronically.

I request that this information be provided within the statutory time frame established under OPRA.
