Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-6(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.

I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.

I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.

I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.

Records requested:

- Traffic or surveillance camera footage, video recordings, or still images from any city-operated or affiliated surveillance or traffic camera systems located at or near the surrounding area of Monroe Street towards Market St. Passaic, NJ 07055, for the date and time of June 7, 2025, between 5:50 AM and 6:30 AM.

This request is in connection with a hit-and-run incident in which my father was the victim. I am specifically seeking footage that may show a white pickup truck (FORD F150) with black rims and tinted windows, which was involved in the incident. The passenger wheel would be flat and a dented bumper. I’m seeking for the license plate of this vehicle.

If this location is not under the jurisdiction of the Passaic Police Department, I respectfully request that you forward this request to the appropriate agency or advise me on how to proceed.

If there are any costs associated with fulfilling this request, please notify me in advance. If the requested footage is no longer available, please provide the applicable video retention schedule.
