OPRA Request – Body-Worn Camera Records
Dear Stafford Township,
Please accept this electronic request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form or use a particular software platform to submit my request per NJSA 47:1A-5(f), which states that an email from a requestor including all of the information required on the adopted form shall suffice in place of a completed form as a valid government record request.
I HAVE NOT been convicted of any indictable offense under the laws of New Jersey, any other state, or the United States.
I WILL NOT use the requested government records for a commercial purpose.
I AM NOT seeking records in connection with a legal proceeding.
Records requested:

Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA), N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., I respectfully request access to government records maintained by the Stafford Township Police Department.
Specifically, I request body-worn camera (BWC) footage and related records for all Stafford Township police officers who responded to a missing person investigation in reference to police case ST25-32088 on December 17, 2025, between the hours of 16:30 and 21:30.
For this request, please provide:
1. All BWC footage recorded by responding officers during the above time period in connection with this incident.
2. Identify each officer who responded to the incident and but did not record BWC footage and reason why?
3. All body-worn camera (BWC) audit logs, activation/deactivation logs, and system metadata for each officer assigned to this detail, including but not limited to:
Device assignment records
Activation and deactivation timestamps
Recording event logs
Any indicators of camera usage or non-usage during the assignment
If any of the requested records do not exist, please provide a certification of non-existence for each specific category of records requested.
If the requested records are maintained in electronic format, I prefer to receive them electronically via a download link or other reasonable digital method.
If any portion of this request is denied, please provide the specific legal basis for the denial, including the statutory citation, and release any reasonably segregable portions of responsive records.
If fulfilling this request will require a special service charge due to the volume, format, or extent of the request, please advise me of the estimated cost in advance before processing.
