I have been checking daily and it still reports that the request is delayed. Any update to ths request?

Dear Christian Campo:
The Division of Codes and Standards within the Department of Community Affairs is not in receipt of an OPRA request for open/closed permits for 144 Lower Main St., Matawan, NJ 07747, Block 254, Lot 6. However, this notwithstanding, please be advised that the Division of Codes and Standards is not the custodian of Uniform Construction Code records for the Borough of Matawan.
In most cases, the Uniform Construction Code (UCC) is enforced by local construction code enforcement agencies. In cases where the UCC is locally enforced, the enforcement records (such as permits) are in the custody of local municipalities. There are a select number of municipalities that have requested the Department of Community Affairs' (DCA) assistance with enforcing the UCC, the list of which may be found here: https://www.nj.gov/dca/divisions/codes/o....
As you will see in the above list, the Borough of Matawan has not requested DCA assistance. As such, the UCC is enforced--and the enforcement records are retained--by the Borough of Matawan's municipal construction code enforcement office. The Borough of Matawan's Construction Department may be accessed via the following link which contains contact information for the department: https://www.matawanborough.com/matawan/B....
We trust this provides you with the information you need for the records you are seeking. Thank you for contacting the Division of Codes and Standards in the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.
