For item 1 The Borough does not maintain a list of properties with
violations or violations. Therefore, it would have to search every single
property file to determine if there is a violation and whether it was for
illegal housing. This would constitute research, not a search and is
beyond the requirement of OPRA.
Additionally, the Borough has no computer data base in which violation
information is entered. Therefore, it cannot conduct a search of that
database for violations.
If you have a special property or list of properties you want to inquire
about we can search those specific files. But a borough-wide or open-ended
search is not required.
