OPRA: Purchase order history for the police department from 2012 to 2019

We're waiting for Taeho Kim to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear South River Borough,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested:

Please provide all purchase order history for purchases by the police department from 2012 to 2019. For each order, please include the date, description, vendor, and amount of the purchase.

Excel form is preferred, but other electronic forms are fine if that is not feasible.

Yours faithfully,

Taeho

Bill Bray, South River Borough

This response is for the request below and a follow up of your request from earlier in the day regarding body cameras.

As stated before items 1 & 2 on your request of 5/27/20 at 2:48am are denied because they ask a question and are not a request for an identifiable record.
For item 3 - Invoice of body cameras purchase (if body cameras were purchased) The Borough has identified a single Purchase Order related to body cameras from May 2016 which is stored off site. The Borough will need to retrieve these records and therefore cannot provide immediate access to same. The Borough should be able to provide access within the statutory deadlines but will; advise at a later time if an extension is required.

As for the request below for "all purchase order history for purchases by the police department from 2012 to 2019. For each order please include the date, description, vendor and amount of the purchase." The Borough doesn’t maintain such a document however, those records are contained within its finance system software and therefore a report can be generated to provide information contained within that database but no further than the information that was imputed at the time the Purchase order was created. The requested records are attached. This request has been fulfilled.

You have sent the Borough four OPRA requests within the last 24 hours. Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, Borough Offices hours have been reduced and staff placed on staggered schedules. Therefore, the deadlines to respond to these requests is extended to June 19. Should records become available sooner, they will be provided.
