OPRA: Purchase invoice of body worn cameras for the police department

The request was partially successful.

Dear Long Branch City,

This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.

Records requested:

1. Total number of body cameras currently deployed in the police department.

2. Date on which body cameras were deployed to any of the police officers for the first time (year and month).

3. Invoice of body cameras purchase (if body cameras were purchased).

Yours faithfully,

Taeho Kim

Attached please find your completed OPRA request filed on May 27, 2020.

I have attached the invoice from the Police Department – there were 30
body cameras ordered.

With regards to the date on which the body cameras were deployed to the
police officers, in speaking with Lt. Shirley he does not have an exact
date – he did say however that it was within 2 – 3 months of the invoice.

This will close out your OPRA request.

Be well and stay safe.

Thank you.
