OPRA: Purchase invoice of body worn cameras for the police department
Dear Highland Park Borough,
This is a request for public records made under OPRA and the common law right of access. I am not required to fill out an official form. Please acknowledge receipt of this message.
Records requested:
1. Total number of body cameras currently deployed in the police department.
2. Date on which body cameras were deployed to any of the police officers for the first time (year and month).
3. Invoice of body cameras purchase (if body cameras were purchased).

Good Morning Taeho Kim,
I am in receipt of your OPRA request dated May 27, 2020. Pursuant to
Executive Order No. 103, Governor Phil Murphy declared that a Public
Health Emergency and State of Emergency exists in the State of New Jersey
as a result of an outbreak of the Coronavirus disease, also known as
COVID-19, which is highly contagious and at times fatal. On March 20,
2020, the New Jersey State Legislature passed an amendment to N.J.S.A.
47:1A-5(g) removing the deadlines to respond to OPRA requests during a
public health or other state of emergency.
In order to protect the health and safety, a limited number of Borough
employees are in the office on any given day due to the COVID-19 crisis,
and as a result additional time is needed to respond to OPRA requests.
Please be advised that the Borough will respond to your request as quickly
as possible. All responses will be provided via email or regular mail
until emergency declarations are lifted and regular municipal operations
resume.
